Coffee Urns, Space Saver Urns, Tamper Resistant high volume Urns, Banquet Brewing Systems, Ten gallon urns, MPO Pour-over coffee urns, Precision Barista Series Urns Midline Heat Exchange Urns. These are types of commercial urns that are in use today.
The single and twin three (3) gallon urns, as well as the twin 6 gallon urn are used to make and hold large amounts of coffee, usually for large gathering such as weddings, parties and social events at large churches or large gatherings in hotels. The single 3 gallon makes enough coffee to serves about 48 cups of any kind of coffee. The twin 3 gallon doubles that, but can offer regular coffee and decaf coffee or regular coffee and robust coffee, which a little bit more full bodied. All sizes of these urns from a single three gallon to a twin ten gallon size are made of stainless steel and, require a ¼" water line standard; some 3 gallon models have natural and LP gas models are available.
Cuisinart Coffee Makers
A pour-over model is one that can be used with a water line or where water lines are not available. The urns come in single and twin three to six gallon sizes. These urns are also made for natural or LP gas use. These urns are used for large parties or social events that may be inside or outside in a covered area. Because of there weight the smaller 3 gallon single urn can be moved around on an appropriate use cart.
Precision brew barista urns give the user complete control over the brew cycle, contact time, and brew temperature. These urns have a dual wall, air insulated, electroplated liners that hold the temperature between 180° and 185° for long periods of time. The 3 liner unit with 3 gallons each is a stationary unit that is meant to brew coffee continuously. These are often used in motel eating rooms where coffee can be directed to spigots on the other side of the wall or where airpots are filled and placed at a coffee station or coffee stations that usually offer regular and decaf coffee. Some are now offering a more robust coffee.
Exchange urns require fresh water that is heated in a coiled, nickel-plated, copper heat exchange tube inside the urn. As the water passes through the heat exchanger coil it is heated to the optimum temperature desired. These coffee makers have an automatic coffee agitation arm and can make a batch or half batch. These heat exchange urns come from a single 3 gallon liner to a twin 10 gallon sized liner.
Space saver urns are just that. These are fresh water style urns in the single and twin urns and come as a pump style urn in the triple liner models of 3, 6 and 10 gallon sizes. They all come with an insulated body and controls under the urns of each urn section to save space.
The tamper resistant urn is a high volume urn. It comes with no exposed fasteners. That is, the controls remain under lock and key. This urn has a permanent filter basket and no filters are needed. This high speed brewing urn has two independent brew heads. This unit would best found in a separate room from consumers of the coffee possibly in a large industrial area and under a watchful eye.
The banquet brewing system is a coffee brewing and holding urn system that consists of one or two high-speed automatic coffee brewing urns of ten gallon capacity and a holding urn with multiple dispensing faucets. This system will brew from as little as 200 cups at a time to 4,000 cups at a time that are held and ready for serving.
